Unearth your potential in the mining engineering program, and join an industry that provides so many of the materials that are essential to our daily life. Our program is designed to teach the fundamentals behind how to engineer solutions that help companies extract materials used in numerous industries. More than 14,000 mines in the United States extract more than 75 different commodities. Challenge yourself with improving the integration of geological, chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering with business and management as these industries extract and refine the Earth’s minerals.
Graduates of our program are prepared for careers both domestically and abroad in mining equipment design, applications, or marketing; state or federal agencies involved with inspection and enforcement of mining regulations; and large financial, planning, and engineering firms.
The Mining Engineering B.S. program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Learn more about our college's ABET accredited programs.
